An IRP 850 devours a hat factory in Putignano

An Indeco IRP 850 pulveriser, mounted first on a Komatsu PC 240 and then on a PC 340, has been working since the beginning of March, demolishing an old industrial building in Putignano, a town in Bari province best-known for its Carnival and for its wedding dresses.

A MULTI 850 knocks down two 26-metre high silos

A Multi 850 at work in demolition crusher configuration, knocking down two silos in a cement works in Barletta, near Bari.

Knocking down these two silos was a highly complex operation, both because the very hard building material (high resistance reinforced concrete containing large quantities of steel rods) was so difficult to demolish, and because of the position of the silos.

The MIC (Montaggi Impianti e Costruzioni) company from Cerreto Sannita near the Southern Italian city of Benevento, a specialist firm in the excavations, demolitions and construction fields, was contracted by the national electricity company Enel, to demolish a hydroelectric pipeline at the Colli al Volturno jobsite near Isernia.

Punta Perotti: the last seafront building in Bari turned to dust by Indeco pulverizers

The Punta Perotti saga finally came to a close when the third and last building in the complex, “Palazzo Quistelli”, was demolished mechanically. The whole operation, which took place in various phases on different days, involved demolishing the first two blocks in the complex with 5 tons of TNT and 5000 metres of fuse wire, bringing down a total of 163,000 cubic metres of material.
